Enrique Moreno Castillo nació en Londres en 1947, pero vivió desde su infancia en Santiago de Compostela. Posteriormente se trasladó a Barcelona, donde vive en la actualidad. Ha publicado los siguientes libros de poesía: La noche prodigiosa (1982), En el rumor del fondo (1987), La rosa invernal (1995) y Junto a las aguas de sombra (2002), por el segundo de los cuales obtuvo el Premio Ciudad de Barcelona.;Ha publicado igualmente ensayos de crítica literaria, como Sobre el sentido de La vida es sueño (2004) y La Celestina como tragedia (2010), y traducciones de Shakespeare (El rey Lear, Macbeth), Saint-John Perse, Yves Bonnefoy y Michel de Ghelderode.
