  • En mayo de 2017 se celebraron en la Universidad de Alcalá las Jornadas en homenaje al ilustre alcalaíno Andrés Saborit Colomer, con el título Ética y compromiso político.Urbano Brihuega, César Luena, Pedro Barruso, Alonso Puerta, Abdón Mateos y Enrique Moral abordaron en seis conferencias todas las facetas de la vida de Andrés Saborit: dirigente del PSOE y de la UGT, concejal del Ayuntamiento de Madrid y diputado por Oviedo, Madrid y Ciudad Real.Exiliado en Francia y Suiza al final de la guerra civil, regresó a España en 1977, falleciendo en Valencia en 1980.
