  • Cuando me propusieron reeditar La hija del Ganges para celebrar el decimoquinto aniversario de su publicación, además de llevarme una gran alegría, pensé: «¡Ya hace quince años que comenzó aquella aventura!». Y es que, aunque sea un tópico, el tiempo pasa muy deprisa. Aun así, tengo muy presente cómo fue aquel viaje, y me parece que pasó ayer mismo. Y recuerdo también la mezcla de sorpresa, emoción, vértigo y miedo que sentí cuando me pidieron que escribiera mi historia: acababa de participar en el Congreso de Adopción Internacional celebrado en Barcelona y había escrito un artículo para un periódico. Aquel escrito breve, en el que explicaba muy por encima mis sentimientos como niña adoptada, gustó. Así fue como nació este libro.
