Pocs mesos després, quan ja havia començat atreballar en el segon volum,va morir.En aquesta nova edició de les seves memòries, afegim en apèndix l’únic capítol que Benet va arribar aescriure del projectat segon volum de les memòries: “La bandera del Palau”.
