Interpretación patrimonial de un enclave histórico olvidado del Bajo Guadalquivir es un estudio que intenta la revalorización social y patrimonial de este singular emplazamiento, actualmente en situación de marginalidad. La existencia en este lugar de un representativo puente romano perteneciente a la Vía Augusta, transformado en la Edad Media en un puente fortificado de la Banda Morisca, y de una importante Venta caminera del siglo XVI, configuraron un destacado hito territorial vinculado a los contextos históricos de la ocupación del entorno de Las Marismas y al desarrollo de las comunicaciones terrestres entre Sevilla y la bahía de Cádiz, motivos por los que sería representado en obras de la importancia de Civitatis Orbis Terrarum.
