Los médicos que también son humanistas ejercen de forma efectiva su profesión porque contemplan no sólo el cuerpo sino también el alma del paciente. La vocación debe persistir para que exista la profesión médica. Hoy en día, el médico y la médica son un hombre y una mujer de ciencia y también de humanidad. El amor es libre y nadie está obligado a darlo aunque obraríamos de forma adecuada si compartiéramos todos con esta profesión, el compromiso en otorgarlo a los que nos rodean como bien común. Mi opinión es que si no se vale como ser humano, tampoco se valdrá como médico.
